Ahhh, the old North Bank!
That was my home from home!
Whatever happens now, Chumpions League, a full OS, Ibra maybe (Please!), it's never going to be quite the same as it was when we were rammed into the North Bank, bouncing, singing and then a good tear up outside. . .
What I'd give for one more night under lights maybe, against Millwall, crammed into the North Bank with my mates.

So when we knocked the school down to rebuild the West Stand why didn't we pull it further back and give us room to turn the pitch 90 degrees to enable us to develop a bigger capacity???
Anyone know. Was it planning or just not enough room?

Seeing the portakabin shop photo got me thinking about the old shop the club had before that one. A tiny little space under the West Stand at the North Bank end that was full if you had more than three people in it!
First time I was in there some knobber tried to nick my scarf in the days when you tied them round your wrist! (1973)

That old shop was amazing. In that it was truly awful, of course, but it has charm looking back. Nostalgia is great isn't it? And bollocks too.
